Collaboration with WeForest

WeForest is a non-profit organisation based in Belgium and France that specialises in projects that benefit the climate, the planet and people. Their forest restoration projects in tropical countries transform entire regions and directly contribute to 8 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

With this partnership Renewd promises that they donate to WeForest for every Renewd iPhone sold. In consultation with WeForest it has been decided to focus on a project in Desa’a (Ethiopia). “Restoring forests in the threatened landscapes of northern Ethiopia is critical for the climate as well as the thousands of families that depend on healthy forest to survive. We are delighted to partner with Renewd and make a difference together.” (Jessica Chalmers, Director of Partnerships WeForest)

Green promises of Renewd

Earlier this year, Renewd was one of the first parties in Europe to join the Green Consumption Pledge, an initiative of the European Commission. This initiative calls upon companies in various sectors of the economy to make concrete, public and verifiable commitments, to produce and market sustainable products, and to redouble their efforts to make consumers more aware of the consequences of their consumption choices. Renewd has consciously taken up these promises and is investing directly in its sustainable image with this cooperation.
